I will admit, theatre was never really my thing. But once I moved to the island and got more involved with the local Theatre scene, there was no turning back. I absolutely love supporting the local Arts and we are so lucky to always have such amazing talent join us on the Island.
My mom and daughter finished a run of “Oliver” at Main Street Community theater this past summer. Locals can become a star in their own way! Those that become involved are introduced to new friends of all ages so if you’re local, step right up!
Coligny is the hot spot for summer visitors but also a has acquired a new charming theatre. The local movie theatre has now been renovated into a stage, Sea Glass theater. “Based in historic Coligny Theatre, Sea Glass Stage Company aims to be a beacon of both cultural entertainment and educational enrichment on Hilton Head Island. Our mission is to celebrate the power of performing arts by creating a space where passionate, talented artists in our community and surrounding regions come together to bring stories to life. Last but not least, The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina has such a collection captivating performances, it’s hard to pick just one. So, you can become a member! If you are more selective you may pick and choose which shows to attend, “a stimulating, nurturing environment where the performing and visual arts can flourish” It is always a great idea to grab a quick delicious bite to eat before the show at the fabulous choices of eating establishments in Shelter Cove.
